Dear Body Shop Owner, “No Codes” Doesn’t Mean “No Problem”

Let’s kill this myth right now.

Just because the scan tool doesn’t throw a DTC doesn’t mean the system is good. ADAS systems don’t shout when they’re a little off — they whisper. And sometimes, they say nothing at all.

That radar? Could be pointing at the sky. That blind spot sensor? A few degrees off and it's watching the wrong lane. You won’t get a light. The customer won’t get a warning.

But they’ll still get into a crash when the system misfires. And guess who gets the callback?

This isn’t something you should have to carry alone. A good calibration partner will:

  • Scan the vehicle

  • Flag what needs to be calibrated based on your repair lines

  • Verify equipment by VIN

  • Handle the procedure and hand you back a clean report with everything documented

All you have to do is plug them in. They’ll do the heavy lifting — and you keep your customer safe and your shop protected.
