It’s Not Just “Mobile vs. In-House.” It’s Right vs. Wrong.

Look, we’re mobile. We believe in it.But let’s draw a line in the sand:

If you’re not doing mobile calibration by OEM standards, you shouldn’t be doing it at all.

Being Mobile Doesn’t Excuse Bad Practices

Just because you’re mobile doesn’t mean you get to:

  • Skip the laser-leveling

  • Set up targets in angled lots

  • “Eyeball it” because you’re in a rush

  • Avoid documentation because you’re on the go

That’s not mobile. That’s malpractice.

Doing It Right Takes More Discipline, Not Less

If you’re mobile, your standards should be even higher. Why?

Because:

  • You’re outside your comfort zone

  • You have to verify conditions

  • You represent someone else’s brand

  • And you're walking into someone else's liability chain

Doing it right isn't a bonus—it's the bare minimum.

You Want to Be the Shop's Hero? Start Acting Like One.

When a shop calls you in, they’re not asking for a shortcut. They’re trusting you to protect them from risk they can’t handle.

If you can’t do it right? Don’t do it.Say, “Conditions aren’t right—we need to reschedule or relocate.”

They’ll respect you more for it. And you’ll keep your name (and theirs) off the lawsuit.

Final Word: Mobile’s Not a Hack. It’s a Discipline.

If you’re in mobile calibration, carry yourself like a professional—not a “we’ll make it work” guy.

You’re either doing ADAS calibration the right way.

Or you’re not doing it at all.
