There’s No Such Thing as a “Quick Calibration” — So Stop Selling It Like One

We get it. Speed matters. Shops want to keep their cycle time tight, customers want their car back yesterday, and mobile techs want to crank out four stops before lunch.

But somewhere along the line, “quick calibration” started getting tossed around like it was an actual thing — and not a total red flag.

Spoiler: if it’s “quick,” it probably wasn’t right.

What Makes Calibrations “Slow”?

  • Precision measurement

  • Environmental prep

  • Target setup

  • Verification

  • Documentation

  • Actual reading of the OEM procedure (we know — brutal)

Skip any of those, and sure, it’s fast. It’s also wrong.

Final Word: Calibration Isn’t a Drive-Thru — It’s a Surgical Procedure

Stop racing the clock. Start following the manual.Because “fast” doesn’t matter if the system fails.
